Everything in my life right now is blah: work, CrossFit, health, diet, food, life in general.
CrossFit programming is boring due to prepping for the CrossFit Open. It’s ceaseless rowing, thrusters, double unders, and burpees.
Work. Where to start? I just want to be independently wealthy.
Diet. I started a new 8 week program. I’m sticking to it, but I’m about as enthused as an aphid when a ladybug lands on her plant.
Life.
I feel like I’m going through the motions–motions I don’t even like.
My body is bloated. My sleep sucks. My period is out of whack. My stomach hurts.
Menopause? Stress? Diet? Winter Blues?
Who knows?
This, too, shall pass. This, too, shall pass…
I love your ability to display your heart and soul for us all to view.
It’s not easy putting your truest thought and feelings down like that…it’s an amazing trait.
You sound like you have a lot going on…which is inspiring.
It’s inspiring that you keep going and offer people like myself a state of your conscious thought.
Great post…really enjoyed it.
Thanks for taking the time to compose it.
Keep doing you!
Have an amazing day

I’ve had those days as well. We’re working hard on nutrition and fitness, have gone alcohol free, and are consistently doing the right things day after day. It does get a bit mundane but I seem to be clearing my mind of its constant rambling thoughts and worry. Although the weather will be bad this weekend we are going to get out and do something unique so hopefully that will mix things up. We’re also planning a summer back packing trip so we have something to plan and look froward to. As you say, This too shall pass.

It looks like Silverton, CO. We want to ride the train there and get off the grid for a few days.

I know… I’m working on a break through myself! At least if we are trying and putting our mind toward this, the Universe will send us a creative idea, or we will see someone at the gym and be inspired to get us out of our funk! Hang in there!

I’ve often found myself in similar situation – and invariably discover that plodding forwards regardless is the best solution (for me at least) 🙂

I think that’s going around right now… 🙂 Keep on truckin’, because you’re right. This too shall pass! (PS – my husband is also a crossfitter. I don’t know how you guys do it! I can barely make it through morning stretches).

There are days I wonder myself why I’m doing this to my body…

Life isn’t all ‘ups’ and ‘downs’. Everybody needs a little ‘blah’ now and then. Thanks for following my blog.

Some times we just get out of whack and it takes a while to regain our center and find balance once again. You have a mantra which I use on a regular basis; “this, too, shall pass!”. Very wise words as they imply that rising above the minutiae of everyday life will often allow one to see ‘the big picture’ and find comfort and stability in that perspective. Great post!
