I can’t clean or front squat for 10-14 days or any other movement that extends my hand backwards.
Luckily, we’ve seen all of those in the Open so I should be good.
Needless to say, I won’t be practicing anything all week. My goal will be to rest my hand as much as possible.
When I return, I have to work on my clean form especially at heavy weight. Gaps in training learned the hard way!
Add to this I have scar tissue built up around the sheath that protects the tendon in my right hand (the same one I sprained) that is causing swelling in my fingers. This is probably from tearing while doing CrossFit because I’ve had no other hand injuries to cause this.
So I saw a chiropractor yesterday as well to help break that down. If the scar tissue doesn’t go away on its own, it would have to be surgically removed! Yuck!
Oh no! Feel better, try and take the time to rest – no fun to have surgery!

Yes, rest your arm! If you still want to exercise, what about biking?
