I’m in a Severe Funk
I can’t believe I haven’t posted in almost 3 months.
That just shows you the state of my mind.
I’m in a severe CrossFit funk. I have no desire to work hard. It seems like I’ve been working for almost one year at my goal to make it to the CrossFit Games, and I’m nowhere closer than last year.
I just let my new CrossFit private coach go. Mainly because I have no motivation to do their programming.
All I can manage right now is HWPO.
This goes for my life, too. I lost 2 animals (one of my cats and my dog) in less than a month. I want to move. And, it takes everything I have to keep going.
I have a CrossFit competition coming up in Missouri at the end of July. I’ll see how I do/how I feel after that.
A part of me just wants to throw in the towel.
But, right now, it’s day-by-day when it comes to CrossFit training.

CrossFit Open Thoughts

2023 CrossFit Goals
Every year, I set CrossFit goals I hope to achieve.
For 2023, these are it:
- Strict ring muscle ups
- Butterfly chest-to-bar pull ups
- String together more toes to bar
- String together more butterfly pull ups
- Improve all Olympic moves
- Improve my handstand walks
- Make it to the quarterfinals of the CrossFit Open
- Work on mobility
- Heal
Admittedly, I have not been progressing or trying that hard to progress. Now, I’m hoping to. With my own CrossFit coach and the motivation to quit being mediocre, I hope to succeed and make progress. We shall see.
