You’ll Only Progress With Customized CrossFit Programming

Let’s be honest, if you want to achieve the highest levels of any sport, hobby, or task you set your eyes on, you have to do what works for you and what attacks your weaknesses.

With regards to CrossFit, if you just show up and do the programming at your CrossFit gym, you’ll never reach the highest levels. Sure, you’ll get stronger, and you’ll improve, but you will eventually reach a plateau that you may not be able to overcome.

For far too long, I was complacent, and although I did my own CrossFit programming, I really had no idea what to do to get better. Sadly, this is the majority of people unless you invest the time to figure it out yourself.

If you want to progress in anything in life, you’ll need customized training for you, especially for CrossFit.

What You Can Learn from Videotaping Your CrossFit Moves

Most of us would agree that one of the best inventions ever has been the camera and video. Besides taking selfies of yourself in cool places, you can use your camera to record your CrossFit moves in order to learn from them, correct your moves, and ultimately get better.

I’ve been videotaping myself a lot lately as I journey to the CrossFit Games for my coaches to view in order to see my flaws so I can fix them. Sure, it takes a bit more work than normal, but the learning curve is unlimited.

Koda CrossFit Iron View Competitor Camp

Last weekend, I attended a competitor camp hosted by Koda CrossFit Iron View in Lafayette, Colorado.

It exceeded my expectations. We did a lot of testing to discover our strengths and our weaknesses, got a lot of great information on competing, nutrition, sleep, and so much more.

And, Justin Bergh, the General Manager of The CrossFit Games, stopped by as a guest speaker. It was really, really cool.
